Vietnam to exempt duties for Cambodian products in 2017

Hanoi, Vietnam March 14th 2017

Vietnam and Cambodia have come to an agreement, by that Cambodia agreed to grant Vietnam a special
preferential tariff (0%) on 29 tariff-lines, while Vietnam, in return, agreed to grant Cambodia a special preferential duty
(0%) on 39 tariff-lines which include 300,000 tons of rice export annually and 3,000 tons of dried tobacco leaf export
for 2016-2017.

Following commodity from Cambodia is under special preferential tariff (0%):

1/ Live poultry

2/ Meat and edible offal, of the poultry of heading 01.05, fresh, chilled or frozen

3/ Citrus fruit, fresh or dried

4/ Rice

5/ Other prepared or preserved meat, meat offal or blood

6/ Bread, pastry, cakes, biscuits and other bakers' wares, whether or not containing cocoa; communion wafers, empty
achets of a kind suitable for pharmaceutical use, sealing wafers, rice paper and similar products

7/ Unmanufactured tobacco; tobacco refuse

Condition for favourable duties:

+ Valid C/O form S and granted by competent agencies of the Kingdom of Cambodia

+ Clearance through 24 pairs of border gates bewteen two countries

Import quota is applied by Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade for rice and dried tobacco from Cambodia with preferential
tariff. Exceeding amount is subject to normal tariff
