ICE CREAM TO VIETNAM – WHAT TO BE DONE?

Ice cream (H.S code 2105.00.00) exported to Vietnam should be under quality conformity and food safety control




 

1/ QUALITY CONFORMITY:

Before importing the ice cream, applicant should get approval from Department of Food Safety – Ministry of Health (http://www.vfa.gov.vn/)
or quality conformity

Required dossier:

+ Business license / registration of the applicant

+ HACCP certificate or ISO22.000 of the producer

+ Certificate of Analysis issued by a competent laboratory (ISO 17025) showing key quality indication of the ice cream
(energy & nutrient facts, content of toxic heavy metal, bacteria and related indication)

+ Certificate of  Free Sales (original or verified copy by consular office)

+ Label / picture of label

+ Translation of label in Vietnamese

+ Certificate of trade mark registration (if available)
 

2/ FOOD SAFETY CONTROL: 

Upon arrival of the shipment, importer should apply for physical checking and testing. Basing on testing result, certificate
for the shipment is granted or rejected. Each certificate is only valid for a single shipment
